Here we go.

Features:

  • Support multiple processes, instead of single or multi-thread, each tab has it own memory and global data structures.

    • processes rendering in seperate tab

Tips:

Vulnerabilities (Version 0.2.149.27):

  • Buffer overflow

    • Description: Problem caused due to a boundary error when handling the "SaveAs" Function. On saving a malicious page with an overly long title ( tag in HTML), the program causes a stack-based overflow and makes it possible for attackers to execute arbitrary code."

Problem fixed:

  • URLs containing ":%" which could cause Chrome to crash.

Pros:

  • Opensource

  • Better stability by running multi process architecture. 1 tab goes down will not affect the whole browser

  • Better memory allocation as each tab has it own memory. Any tab goes memory fat, we can just eliminate it

  • Built in Java virtual machine

  • Built-in DOM inspector

  • Compiled javascript

  • Incognito mode

  • Excellent introduction and explanation you can find from a comic book added by google.

Cons:

  • It's still in beta test, you can expect alot of bugs and vulnerabities

  • no supporting plugin like firefox at the moment

  • Chrome offers only day-by-day history.

  • no linux support, YET!

Overall, I think Google chrome is a decent browser with high performance and stability. It's worth the try. So, what's your say about Google chrome?
